This is Jack pre-wound. He’s a lovely tabby boy with a big Siamese yowl. We do wonder who Daddy was!
Here he is with Margaret – a favourite winter evening snoozing place
And here he is recharging his sunlight stores the day after surgery

Jack is a domestic shorthair cat (aka Moggy) tabby boy of about 3 years old.
He’s a rescue as an adult from the SPCA. His human was looking for an older cat but this one was HORRIFIED at being in the cat room and was hiding in the corner. Margaret sat down next to him and he climbed onto her lap…and that was the decision made.
He was apparently re-homed several times through change of circumstances and he was pretty anxious to begin with but soon settled into life in his new home.
He share the house with Margaret a very spry 80 year old and Jenny who is a long term boarder who works at a nursing home.
His extended family is large but I live closest about 150 metres up the hill. I do any respite care and help with vet visits as Margaret can’t lift the carry case.
Jack had a right front amputation on Wednesday 6th July after 6 weeks with a wound just above the wrist that wouldn’t heal. We are awaiting the results but it looks like it will be a fairly prolific cancer. We just hope the amputation will be curative.
